Serves(3-4)
Ingredients
- Chena - 1/4kg
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Red chilly powder - 2 Tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Onion - 1 Large
- Curry leaves - 2 Twigs
- Water - 3 cups
- Garlic - 3nos
- Coconut Oil - 3 Tbsp
- Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
- Fenugreek(Uluva) - 6 nos
- Grated Coconut - 4 Tbsp
- Crushed Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
- Cut Chena roughly into block pieces. In a cooker add chena, turmeric powder,chilly powder,salt, onion,curry leaves and water.Cook until it becomes soft (o not mash it).
- In a kadai heat oil and add items for tempering expect and fry until coconut becomes brown (not dark brown).
- Now add the cooked chena mix it well. Let the cook until the water is reduced. off the flame and add crushed garlic and curry leaves. Serve hot with rice , chapatti.
